Touched suffer from an infection that turns them irreversibly into walking undead. This infection causes an overproduction of keratin, leading to flowing hair but also long, ragged, claw-like finger and toenails. Walking proves difficult, leading to shambling and stumbling, but the fingernails extend the reach and danger of the Touched’s flailing attempts to scrape whoever approaches. These scrapes transmit the infection, leading to the victim becoming Touched themselves. The infection progresses over the course of a few hours to a day or two, depending on the Vigor of the individual.
