Backstory:

Toshmo’s parents, an Orc mother and Human father, were lucky enough to land jobs as Laborers working for the Founder Families of the new Giftworld, Toosehn. A relatively young couple, they were excited to leave their former world, especially as each of their respective families did not approve of their relationship.

During Year One, Toshmo’s mother passed away of what was suspected to be a novel illness from the new world. Her dying wish was to have a family and settle down in this new world, which Toshmo’s father, Shontra Eshmagar, was determined to fulfill. With the support of a close friend, who was also able to find employment founding the new world, Shontra took advantage of the new world’s fruits - specifically Geezer Mead - and became Pregnant with a new son.

The surrounding community was pleased to hear Shontra was helping with the population increase for the colony, and also supported him as a widowed father. However, while the community knows of and respects Shontra, he has little political power. Shontra currently works as a teacher in the Library School, through which he also taught his son.

It’s been 20 years since then, and Toshmo has since graduated from the Library School, receiving a human-level education. Being raised mainly by his human father, Toshmo never took much interest in Orcish culture or customs, only finding his Orcish tendencies to be a net negative in fitting into society.

Toshmo has been working at a Smithy in Warehouse Row for about two years now, and has been able to rent a modest dwelling from the gracious Founder Families. However, after learning so much about the mysteries and wonder of this Giftworld in the Library School, crafting tools and weapons has been quite underwhelming, even if it does manage to pay the bills. His father helped explore this new world and build the colony, and now all Toshmo is doing is working away for the Founder Families?

“Back in Rokksher, this is how people got by,” Shontra would say to try getting Toshmo to understand. But, of course, to Toshmo, all of this is a world away. Is he going to sit back and let the adventurers do everything until this world just becomes another version of his father’s boring-sounding parent world? Well, unless something changes, this might just be the case…

Toshmo values knowledge and would bring his class textbooks to a desert island to ensure his survival.

Toshmo also takes the responsibility and pressure to succeed as a Guild Chapter seriously, preferring to plan and prepare over playing.
