Many of the O’Schmoesies became Touched by The Floating Touched and became the first members of The Touched, leading to resentment within the O’Schmoesies due to the rest of the community not taking the threat of The Floating Touched seriously enough.
They initially tried to assume control over the Verity Orb due to their comparative lack of numbers, resulting in Elder O’Schmoesie becoming its steward as a compromise.
